Dear Dad

This is a picture of you while you were in your prime and serving proudly in the USNavy during WWII.  I suppose piloting the LCN was quite an experience.  Your Dad must have been quite proud of both you and your younger brother Jim, I know the Navy couldn't have had two finer men serve our country back then.  I have need to let you know that your parenting skills were impeccable it was just I who decided to rebel and follow the other path for so many years, but still I harken back to the day we were at Lamar Heights Baptist Church and I got the message that morning from Pastor Emmit C. Johnson. Mom didn't quite see eye to eye with my profession of faith at that particular time but I knew what I understood, was a simple message that the meek shal inherit the earth and being a child was special because Jesus loves the little children,  All the children of the world, Red, yellow, black, and white, they are precious in His sight.  Jesus loves the little children of the world, and God the father sent his son {Jesus Christ}  to die for my sins so I don't have to die but have everlasting life and he lay in a tomb for three days and rose from the dead to save us all from sin, and one day,  when that is only God knows He's comming back again to take us all home to heaven,  where the streets are lined with pure gold and there will be no sickness,no fighting,no fear, and nodoubt that Jesus was is and forevermore shall be the son of God almighty and he will come into anyones life who asks forgiveness but he stands at your hearts door and knocks.  So won't you let him come it today if you are not personally aquainted with Him.
